Notes to Jade from God: A Mother's Devotional
This is a devotional written to teach my daughter about the many topics related God, this life, and the next, but it is dedicated to all the mothers out there raising their children in the Lord. I pray that as you read, you are able to take something from each topic to inspire your family as well. A new devotional topic comes out every two weeks.
Poem of the Week
Ghost
No more ghost chasing…
Having said all that I could say, I must now do
Nothing; nothing is left but memories
Of “I’m sorry,” and sorry I may be
But there is nothing else I can do.
Now that Time has passed and Seasons have changed
All that I can say is “I’m sorry” to you.
But if those words were never said, how
Can it ever be known that I have been forgiven
By you? I can’t do anything but trust my heart and hope
To move on while praying that life means
As much to you as it now does to me.
My ghost of the past, you will haunt me seemingly
For all of my days
But I will be okay; I know you will follow me,
Reminding me of my faults; never letting my soul
Forget the forbidden art of twisted cruelty, and at the same time
Showing me a reflection of true love. I will fight you no more,
Because you were once my burdensome secret,
But now I will let you guide me to the more
I have been searching for.

Words of Encouragement

Exodus 14:14 (NKJV)
The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.

Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV)
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen...

Revelation 5:13 (NKJV)
Then I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, and all that is in them, singing: "To Him be praise, honor, glory, and power be to Him whom sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!"
